José Luis Molina is a full professor at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain. He is an economic anthropologist interested in livelihood practices in a globalized, digitalized, and unequal world. He has conducted research funded by international agencies like the NSF and the ESF on migration, ethnic and social entrepreneurship, and personal network analysis. He has been a visiting scholar of the Department of Anthropology (University of Florida, USA) and the Max Planck Institute of Religious and Cultural Diversity (Germany), among other international institutions. His approach is through mixed methods with an emphasis on ethnography and personal network analysis. Southeast Europe and Romania, in particular, are their primary areas of interest. Currently is the President of the Research Ethics Committee of the UAB.

Prof. Agata Górny is a Deputy Director of the Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw, and the head of the Population Economics and Demography Chair at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warsaw. She is also the deputy president of the Committee for Migration Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her research interests include mechanisms of illegal migration, remigration and immigration to Poland, economic adaptation of immigrants and, last but not least, the application of research techniques in migration studies. On these topics, she has already published several articles in Poland and elsewhere.

Michael Schönhuth is a specialist in the field of anthropologically oriented network analysis. Empirically his research focuses on Africa, India, Russia and the Caucasus. His scholarly interests in migration regimes, development anthropology, and the ethical and socio-cultural dimensions of anthropology together with his strong methodological foundations in the field of network analysis and participatory learning and research approaches complement the analytical, empirical and methodological spectrum represented by the IRTG’s Principal Investigators. He is an internationally renowned expert on Visual Network Analysis. He has established the International Summer School on Network Analysis and for the last 10 years has served as its Director.
